Your privacy is
important to us
DRE Internet Services has always upheld the standard for privacy protection and
continues to be dedicated to protecting your personal information. From
21 December 2001, the Australian Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 1000 gives you certain rights in relation to how your personal information is
handled. The Australian National Privacy Principles governs the collection, use,
storage and disclosure of personal and sensitive information.
DRE Internet Services hosts, writes and controls a
large number of web sites for various clients. The
following statement addresses the relevant privacy issues for those web
sites.
Information
we may collect
The
type of information that we may collect from you will depend on what
products and services you acquire from DRE Internet Services or a hosted
website. We may obtain
personal information through our web sites, by e-mail, by telephone, by
written responses or through personal visits by our staff. In a
few areas on our hosted web sites you may be asked to provide information that
personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact
you. This information enables us or our clients to assist you with technical support
issues, to respond to any product enquiries, to enable you to download
any information from our hosted web sites or use a site Guest Book or to follow up with you after your
visit. Any Information that you may be asked to provide for a site
Guest Book may be made visible to others who access that Guest Book. DRE
Internet Services has no control whatsoever over sites that it hosts
that may use a Guest Book and we encourage you to consider the impact of
providing such information before accessing and using any site Guest
Book.
Generally the information you may be asked to provide is restricted to your
name, your telephone numbers, your company name and address, your
e-mail address and, in certain circumstances, we may ask your gender
and age to protect us or our clients from inadvertently sending you inappropriate
material. It is optional for you to provide us with your personnel
information. However, we also reserve the right to withhold any or all
information that you have requested or withhold any offered Service if we do not receive the information we asked for. DRE Internet Services
or its clients also may make limited use of cookies on its
web sites. Cookies are only used to improve the functionality of our
web sites, not to store any of your personal information. When cookies
are used on a hosted site, they are used to store information relating to
your visit such as a unique identifier, or a value to indicate whether
you have seen a web page and to distinguish your Internet Browser from
the thousands of other browsers. The cookies help us and our clients develop the design
and layout of the web sites, improve applications and measure the
effectiveness of our marketing activities. If you do not wish to receive
cookies, you may be able to change the settings of your browser to
refuse all cookies or notify you each time a cookie is sent to your
computer, giving you the choice whether to accept it or not. There
are many third party programs that also allow you to manage cookies and

Use
of information collected
As a
standard practice, we or our clients do not give or share any personally identifiable
or private customer information with third parties, unless they are
acting as an intermediary. In all cases
these intermediaries will be required to keep confidential the personal
information provided by you. The personal information that may be collected is used
only for the purposes stated to support your customer relationship with
DRE Internet Services, its clients or hosted websites. Among other things, we
and our clients want to help you obtain product
and company information where appropriate. We may use direct marketing to alert you to
special offers, new products and services. If at any time you do not
wish to receive further marketing information or any other communication
from us, you have the option under law to ask
us not to send it to you and not to disclose your information to our
intermediaries for that purpose. You may do this by contacting our

does not send illegal unsolicited emails or
information but we have no control over our clients. If you receive
illegal Spam emails, we encourage you to report the offenders to the
Australian Communications and Media Authority. (ACMA

Data
security
All
stored customer information is retained on a secure server and is
protected from unauthorized access through the use of, but not limited
to any or all of, fire-walls, secure passwords, user logins or other
security procedures. All our Servers that may contain personal
information are protected by constant anti-virus checks. However, we wish to emphasize the fact that the
internet is not a secure environment. Please be careful and responsible
whenever you are on-line. If you post personal information on-line that
is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from
other parties. While we strive to protect your personal information, DRE Internet Services cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you
transmit to us or our clients via the internet, and you do so at your own risk. We
intend to destroy or de-identify the information you provided to us if
it is no longer required for the purpose it was obtained for and we
encourage our clients to do the same. DRE
Internet Services also cannot warrant that your email details or addresses may not
fall into the hands of persons that send un-solicited emails, known as
Spam, as often these details are obtained without our knowledge from
other servers used in conjunction with the transmission of your email to
us. We will not knowingly release any such email details to any third
party for the use of Spam and we or our clients do not condone the use of Spam on the
Internet. DRE Internet Services never has and never will supply your
email address or your personal details to any third party unless
authorised by you and we prohibit our clients for doing so.
Accuracy
of information colleted
We aim to ensure that the personal information we
hold about you is current and accurate. If you think that the
information is inaccurate, please contact us at:

that it is corrected. However, if you believe that the accuracy of
your personal information collected by one of our clients or a website
hosted by us is incorrect, you must contact the owner of that website
directly as we cannot correct what we haven't collected.

to information collected
Wherever possible we will let you see the personal information we hold
about you, if we collected it direct or if we are in fact holding any personal information
about you, in order to verify it is correct. Please feel free to contact

If the information was collected
and is held by one of our clients or a hosted website, then you must
contact them directly as we cannot reveal any personal information that
we did not collect directly from you.
The Privacy
information in this Statement only applies to websites that are owned or
run directly by DRE Internet Services. Websites that are hosted for
others by DRE Internet Services on its web servers and any other
associated computer systems are subject to the Privacy provisions of
those websites and the owners of those websites. You should direct all
enquires regarding Privacy to the webmasters or owners of these
web sites.
